The last-16 of the 2023-24 Champions League is upon us.
With the group stage firmly in the rear-view mirror, it is time to continue the long march towards Wembley and it all began with Manchester City beating FC Copenhagen 3-1, while Real Madrid emerged from a battle with RB Leipzig with a slender advantage following Brahim Diaz’s wonder goal.
On Wednesday, a bad week for Bayern Munich got worse when they were beaten by Lazio after Ciro Immobile’s penalty following Dayot Upamecano’s red card. Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, beat Real Sociedad to put one foot into the quarter-finals.
The eight ties are split over a fortnight of action with Arsenal waiting until Wednesday, February 21 to begin their tie with Porto.
This week also saw Inter Milan narrowly beat Atletico Madrid and PSV hold Borussia Dortmund to a draw. Arguably the tie of the round sees Italian champions Napoli meet Barcelona.
The second legs then take place over the weeks of March 4 and 11.
