Carolina Panthers training camp: What to know about practice times, parking, autographs.

Join the Carolina Panthers in Spartanburg for their 2023 Training Camp as they prepare for the upcoming NFL season.

Practices at Wofford College are free and open to the public.

There will be opportunities for fans to receive player autographs after each session along the Field 1 fence, though fans will need to acquire a ticket through Ticketmaster for each practice.

Training camp also features two days of joint practices with the New York Jets and new quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Wednesday, Aug. 9 and Thursday, Aug. 10. The Panthers host the Jets on Aug. 12 in the first preseason game for both teams at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

This summer marks the NFL team's 28th training camp in Spartanburg.

Here is what you need to know about 2023 training camp:

When is training camp?

Training camp is held from Wednesday, July 26 through Thursday, Aug. 10, with 12 practices open to the public.

According to the Panthers website, rookies, including No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young, will report to camp on Saturday, July 22. Veterans will report on July 25, and the first practice will be held on Wednesday, July 26, at 10:15 a.m.

Training camp highlights

∎Back Together Day, Saturday, July 29, 11 a.m. ― The Panthers will host their annual Back Together Saturday event with a practice at Wofford's Gibbs Stadium starting at 11 a.m. The event will feature practice, performances from the Panthers entertainment groups, including the band and dance team, food and activities for fans of all ages.

∎Fan Fest, Wednesday, Aug. 2, 7 p.m. ― Fans can experience a night of fun with football and fireworks at the team's annual Fan Fest in Charlotte, NC at the Bank of America Stadium. Tickets are $5. The Panthers will practice on the stadium field, as well as performances by the TopCats, Sir Purr, PurrCussion and the Black & Blue Crew. LED wristbands will provided for fans to participate in the fireworks and laser show.

∎Jets Joint Practice, Wednesday, Aug. 9-Thursday, Aug.10 ― The training camp will wrap up with two days of joint practice playoffs between the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets.

Are outside food and beverages allowed?

Coolers and containers with food and drink are allowed as long as they are non-alcoholic. Glass containers are not allowed due to safety precautions. Containers are subject to inspection.

What else is permitted?

The following items are permitted at training camp:

∎Backpacks

∎Containers for medical supplies

∎Flags without poles or sticks

∎Folding chairs, seat cushions, umbrellas

∎Strollers

∎Selfie sticks

∎Tablets

∎Any bags and items are subject to inspection.

What items are not permitted?

Items not permitted in the practice field complex include:

∎Alcohol

∎Weapons of any kind including guns, knives, scissors and those carried with a permit

∎Video taping during practice

∎Explosives, fireworks

∎The use of cigarettes, cigars, vapes

∎Horns, bells, whistles, artificial noisemakers

∎Illegal drugs

∎Oversized tents

∎Throwing objects

∎Pets, with the exception of service animals assisting those with disabilities

What about rain days?

Typically, practice will continue through light rain. In the case of severe weather, practice times may be changed or cancelled. If lightning is within 8 miles of the practice field, the team and staff will shelter in place, and fans will be advised to return to their vehicles or seek cover.
