The Big Fat Quiz will soon return to wave off and round up 2023.

Host Jimmy Carr will be joined by an array of celebrity panellists, including comedian Kevin Bridges, to reflect on some of the most hilarious and interesting moments of the past 12 months.

Channel 4's long-running panel show, which launched in 2004, involves celebrities going head-to-head as they face challenging questions in the style of a pub quiz.

Promotion of this year's show has teased the following content: "Helping Jimmy ask the big questions are Charles Dance, the children of Mitchell Brook Primary School, and a whole host of celebrity question setters looking back at 2023."

But here's everything else you need to know about what to expect, including broadcast dates and faces to look out for.

When is the Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2023?

The usual Boxing Day slot reserved for the show will mean it will be broadcast at 9pm on December 26 on Channel 4. But for those who can't watch it live, there's no need to worry; the show will be broadcast again at 10.30pm on New Year's Day.

While questions asked in the quiz remain mostly unknown, some possible ones have been revealed.

The British Comedy Guide website said: "Who was the real star of the King's Coronation? Who went viral for wearing a puffer jacket? Were you team Barbie or Oppenheimer? All these questions and more will be answered in The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year 2023."

But why not get ahead of the curve and see what you remember about the year with the Standard's Christmas quiz here?
