Basketball players flee as crane smashes through roof

Basketball players fled as a crane smashed through the roof and onto a court in China.

Video filmed in the city of Dalian in Liaoning Province on October 28 shows a cane suddenly smashing into a basketball court, sending smoke into the air.

Players on the court were seen running away quickly.

According to the court manager Mr Wang, three basketball coaches suffered serious injuries and several other people had minor injuries.

But none of them are in life-threatening condition.

The crane reportedly lost control and slid down a slope into the court. The damage caused was around £172,000
