In Pictures: Frolics in the snow as cold snap hits parts of UK
A drop in temperatures following days of stormy conditions meant many people woke up to a covering of snow on Monday morning.
The Met Office described it as “a cold and frosty start” to the bank holiday, with yellow weather warnings for ice and snow across much of England and Wales.
