Jupiter's Great Red Spot is shrinking, scientists say

It's a swirling mass of gas and coloured clouds that is bigger than the Earth.

Scientists say that Jupiter's Great Red Spot is shrinking but it does appear to be holding steady in terms of thickness.

Fox News reports that was the takeaway from an experiment that involves recreating the spot in a plexiglass tank and numerical simulations.
