Storm Ciara: BA flight forced to abort landing

A British Airways flight was forced to abort its landing at Heathrow Airport due to severe weather brought on by Storm Ciara.

BA was unable to confirm the source of the flight, though it was reported on social media as coming from Abuja in Nigeria.

The airline said the plane eventually landed safely after circling the airport.

Storm Ciara has battered the UK with heavy rain and gales of 60mph to 80mph bringing many travel services to a standstill.
