Alpacas called Ant and Dec left in Travelodge car park after owners forgot them
Alpacas named Ant and Dec were left in a Travelodge hotel car park after their owners forgot to take them.
The couple, who had displayed the creatures at a show, left them in a trailer to go shopping.
They were then heading home when Travelodge staff alerted them.
The owners collected the pets eight hours after leaving.
Travelodge spokeswoman Shakila Ahmed said: "They had been into town and had some lunch and were some 30 miles down the motorway when they realised what they'd done.
"Staff had to keep a close eye on the alpacas to make sure they were OK throughout the afternoon."
Other lost property at the company's hotels last year included an Aston Martin car, a 65-year-old bonsai tree and a gingerbread village.
