These 82 TSB branches will be closing in 2020
TSB published on Thursday the full list of 82 branches that will be closed. The bank had announced on Monday that it would shutter dozens of its branches next year.
The bank, which is owned by Spanish banking group Sabadell (SAB.MC), said it currently had “more than double the UK average” number of branches per 10,000 customers.
Over the course of 2020, its branch network will be reduced from its current total of 540 to 454, it said, including four closures that will happen by the end of 2019.
The decision follows what TSB calls a “detailed review and analysis” of the network, and the bank said on Thursday that around 370 roles will be “impacted” by the move.

The bank said this week that it would invest in self-service machines in branches, and in its flagship branches, which it said would be the “right locations to meet customer demand”.
TSB said that it would write to customers impacted by the planned closures and invite them to talk to branch managers should they wish to do so.
“Today, a significant number of TSB branches have low customer numbers and transactions are decreasing year on year. In the last two years alone, TSB has seen branch transactions drop by 17% as customers increasingly choose to bank online or by phone.”
