UFC fighter Conor McGregor has been remanded on continuing bail after he appeared in court over an alleged incident in a pub in Dublin.

The mixed martial arts fighter, of Lady Castle, Straffan, Co Kildare, is accused of assaulting Desmond Keogh at the Marble Arch pub in Drimnagh on April 6, where McGregor was promoting his brand of whisky.

The 31-year-old appeared at Dublin District Court in the Criminal Court of Justice on Friday, flanked by two security men.

His solicitor, Michael Staines, confirmed that his client is currently on bail and asked for the case to be adjourned to November 1.

Garda Jason O’Carroll made no objection to the application. He said that disclosure in the case is outstanding.

The judge remanded McGregor on continuing bail until November 1 when the fighter will either make a plea or contest the charge.
