Bus driver caught on camera ‘using WhatsApp at the wheel’

A so-called "vigilante cyclist" has struck again, capturing a bus driver using his mobile phone while at the wheel. Dave Sherry, a helmet cam cyclist from Essex, captured a driver on a service from North Weald to Harlow apparently using WhatsApp while waiting at a set of traffic lights in Epping on Saturday.

The bus had several passengers on board, including senior citizens.

Sherry, who has been described as Britain's most hated cyclist and works as a bus driver himself, says he reports around 70 motorists per week for law-breaking activities.

The cyclist is heard saying: "You should know better. I'm a bus driver myself for 20 years. The traffic commissioner is going to have a little chat about you and your phone use. When you get to the garage Google Dave Sherry."
