Baby elephant rescued from well

A baby elephant has been rescued after being stuck inside a deep well in India's southern Kerala state.

The rescue mission was carried out by forest department officials using an excavator machine to fill the well with the mud.

They fed the elephant with leaves while removing the earth to create a passage for the animal to come out.

After a five-hour operation and innumerable efforts, the elephant was finally able to scramble out... and run towards the forest.
