The Duke of Cambridge reveals Princess Charlotte 'loves' unicorns

Princess Charlotte may have only started school last week, but according to her father, the four-year-old already has a new obsession.

The Duke of Cambridge visited Harcombe House in Devon on Monday to mark Emergency Services Day, and the future King revealed a very sweet insight into his daughter, Charlotte.

Prince William said that the young royal is obsessed with unicorns during an art therapy session at the centre.

As he admired the art created by serving firefighter Dan Bills' three children, the Duke spotted a unicorn horn made from colourful balls.

"My daughter loves unicorns," he said. "Loves them. Very cool."

Last week, Princess Charlotte was seen arriving at St Thomas' Battersea with her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and older brother, Prince George.

While Kate was left to carry Princess Charlotte's bag, eagle-eyed fans spotted a very sparkly accessory attached to it as she spun it around.

The young royal had added a pink sparkly unicorn keyring to her new navy schoolbag.

It's not the first time Charlotte has been pictured with the mythical creature in tow.

Earlier this summer, she was spotted carrying a unicorn Beanie Babies purse during the family's visit to the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day.

It's clear the young royal is following in her mother's footsteps, and we predict a unicorn accessory will be this season's hottest trend.
