Six hurt after lightning strike during PGA Tour Championship

At least six people were injured after lightning strikes at the season-ending PGA Tour Championship in Atlanta on Saturday.

Play was suspended because of thunderstorms and shortly after there were two lightning strikes close to the 15th green at East Lake Golf Club.

A tree was hit and debris from that strike injured six people, according to PGA officials.

A statement added the injuries "do not appear to be life-threatening".

Organisers said ambulance workers treated six fans on the course, with five being taken to hospital by ambulance.
