Drone disaster for party boat woman

A day out aboard a party boat proved to be a hair-raising experience for one passenger after a drone filming the revellers got tangled up in her hair.

University of North Texas student Ty Hellman shared the drone footage on Twitter.

In the video, the drone descends towards the boat on Lewisville Lake, North Texas, before colliding with a woman.

The drone's camera captures the initial impact with the unfortunate passenger, before showing her silhouette as she tries to disentangle it from her hair.

Hellman told Storyful the incident knotted her hair so badly that she had to cut it. The woman in question, Twitter user @ca_layne, responded to Hellman's video with a picture showing the pain the experience left her in.
