Prince Harry is feeling the heat from critics of the royal family.
The Duke of Sussex was one of the many famous faces to attend the annual so-called Google Camp in Sicily for three days, where he'll discuss climate change with the likes of Barack Obama, Leonardo DiCaprio, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom and more, all of whom have reportedly received personal invitations from Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
While the £17m event has a noble cause -- get some of the most influential people in the world together to try to combat climate change and global warming -- critics of the event have pointed to a report from an Italian news source that claimed the group of A-listers are expected to travel to the Italian destination via 114 private jets.
Page Six "crunched the numbers and found that 114 first class seats from Los Angeles to Palermo, Italy, where Camp guests landed, would spew an estimated 784,000 kilograms of CO2 into the air," which is, of course, notable considering that the whole point of the summit is to come up with solutions to curb climate change -- not contribute to it.
"Google Camp is meant to be a place where influential people get together to discuss how to make the world better," a regular attendee of the event told the outlet. "There will likely be discussions about online privacy, politics, human rights, and of course, the environment, which makes it highly ironic that this event requires 114 private jets to happen."
Prince Harry's appearance at Google Camp followed the publication of his sit-down with conservationist Jane Goodall for his wife, Meghan's, issue of British Vogue, where he told her that they plan on having two children "maximum" in an effort to help the environment.
Frequent and vocal critic of the the royal family Piers Morgan took to Twitter to react to Harry's quote, while calling out the Sussexes propensity to take private jets during their travels.
🤣🤣🤣 Is this the same Harry who uses helicopters to go from London to Birmingham & whose wife uses celebrity mates' private jets to cross the Atlantic? https://t.co/KvOhlbWI3C

"Is this the same Harry who uses helicopters to go from London to Birmingham & whose wife uses celebrity mates' private jets to cross the Atlantic?" the British TV personality tweeted alongside laughing emojis, alluding to Meghan reportedly taking a private jet to and from her star-studded New York City baby shower back in February.
Morgan's critique of Harry followed his takedown of Meghan earlier in the week in his column for the Daily Mail in which he criticised her latest gig as guest editor of British Vogue.
"Meghan didn't need to guest-edit Vogue. She's already guzzled at the udder of royal fame like a starving desert traveller arriving at an over-flowing oasis," he said. "I'm sure the one thing we all need most in the world right now is a fabulously rich and entitled Princess lecturing us on privilege from her servant-laden royal quarters."
