Since joining the royal family, fashion followers from across the globe have tracked the Duchess of Sussex's every sartorial move.

From her history-making Givenchy wedding gown to the new mother's sell-out maternity wardrobe, the 37-year-old holds a serious influence over our spending habits.

So it comes as no surprise to learn that Meghan Markle has been nominated for a top award at the 2019 World Fashion Awards.

New to the scene, the inaugural event has introduced an International Fashion Icon Award and the Duchess of Sussex is in the running for the title.

Though she's up against some tough competition, as fellow nominees include supermodel Naomi Campbell, singer-turned-designer Rihanna, reality star Kim Kardashian, Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Lopez.
