Arizona's swastika-shaped buildings spark questions

A pair of buildings in Arizona in the United States, has sparked serious questions over, what some believe, is a secret message in its design.

A medical centre located in the town of Glendale is comprised of four sections interlocking to form a cluster of buildings. From ground level the buildings look unremarkable, but seen from the air they form a familiar and worrying pattern.

The two buildings when seen from above resemble two swastikas. Although traditionally a religious symbol, its use by the Nazis, has since made its a controversial and offensive symbol. The medical centre which was built in the 1980s, has led locals to question how the design was approved and whether it was intentional.
