Four in court after murder bid in Highland village

Four men have appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a pair were seriously injured at a house in the Highlands.

A woman and man were hurt in the incident at Orchard Park in Beauly in the early hours of Sunday.

The man’s injuries are described as life-threatening.

On Tuesday four men – Dylan Drummond, 24, Lee Drummond, 18, Peter Drummond, 48, and Stephen Stewart, 50, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court charged with attempted murder.

They made no plea and were remanded in custody. They are expected to return to court within eight days.
