New father the Duke of Sussex joins Queen at Royal Windsor Horse Show

New father the Duke of Sussex has taken a break from parenting to join the Queen at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

A regular at the annual event, the Queen has been spotted several times at the four-day show this week – which is held in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Wearing a mint green dress, complete with a shimmering silver jacket, the Queen – who is passionate about all things equestrian – attended the show’s final Pageant on Saturday.

She was joined by Harry and the Duke of Edinburgh at the event, just days after being introduced to her latest great-grandson Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Harry and the Duchess of Sussex broke with royal convention by not using a title for their baby boy who was born on Monday at 5.26am, weighing 7lb 3oz.

Seventh in line to the throne, Archie made his debut with his mother and father at Windsor Castle on Wednesday and met the Queen and Philip later the same day.

The duchess described her son as having the “sweetest temperament”, while a delighted duke called him “our own little bundle of joy”.

Meghan is likely to still have the company of her mother Doria Ragland at the couple’s Frogmore Cottage home which is near to the Queen’s Windsor Castle residence.

This year’s 90-minute Royal Windsor Horse Show Pageant, will feature music, the Household Cavalry, artists and dancers, and marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Queen Victoria.

It aims to bring together memorable events from the Victorian era, as the participants of the theatrical performance recreate 19th century Britain.
