In Pictures: Climate protesters target financial firms

Climate change activists have continued their protests across London.

The Extinction Rebellion demonstrators glued themselves to entrances of the London Stock Exchange wearing LED signs reading “climate emergency”, “tell the truth” and “you can’t eat money”.

They were later removed and taken away in police vans. The London Stock Exchange said the markets were all open as normal.

In another London financial district, protesters climbed on top of a Docklands Light Railway train at Canary Wharf station in east London, holding signs saying “business as usual = death” and “don’t jail the canaries”.

Activists also demonstrated outside Goldman Sachs offices in Fleet Street, with several laid in the road to form a human blockade and stopping traffic.
