Motorcyclist clocked at 125mph on the A82

Three men have been reported for speeding on the A82 in Glencoe.

Police clocked two motorcyclists aged 58 and 47 travelling at 125mph and 99mph respectively at Rannoch Moor.

A 27-year-old man was detected driving at 88mph in the same location.

There were a number of complaints regarding vehicles travelling at excessive speed on the road over the weekend.

These included vehicles believed to have been taking part in an organised car rally.

Road Policing Sergeant Gus Murray said: “Speeding or inappropriate speed is a contributory factor in many serious and fatal road traffic collisions.

“I would remind all drivers and riders that driving at inappropriate speeds is not a minor, technical offence that everyone commits, but a serious, dangerous and antisocial activity.”
