Four-figure sum of cash stolen from high street shop

A four-figure cash sum has been stolen from a shop in Dalkeith.

The incident happened in a shop on the High Street some time between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

The suspect forced entry in to the premises and stole the cash from the safe inside.

Inquiries are continuing and police appealed for witnesses.
