Security guard narrowly escapes death after SUV driver mistakes accelerator for brake

A security guard's quick reaction saved him from being crushed by an SUV after a driver mistook the accelerator for the brake in southern China.

The CCTV video, filmed in Lanzhou city in Hainan Province on March 11, shows a security guard standing on the stairs in front of an Agricultural Bank of China and directing an SUV to park.

However, the car suddenly speeds up onto the stairs and crashes through the glass doors into the bank. The security guard can be seen jumping to the side just before the car hits him.

Fortunately, no one was injured. The bank was still estimating the damages.
