Briton dies after ‘fight’ at Spanish holiday resort

A British man has died after an apparent fight in Benidorm.

The incident happened in the Spanish seaside resort at around 3am on Friday, according to reports.

A spokesman for the National Police in Alicante told STV News a 33-year-old man from Scotland had died.

Witnesses are said to have told police a fight had broken out between the man and other British holidaymakers.

A Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokeswoman said: “Our staff are providing assistance to the family of a British man who has died in Benidorm.”
