Family’s tribute to alleged murder victim who was ‘a loveable rogue’

The family of a man who was allegedly murdered in Fife has described him as a “loveable rogue”.

Kevin Byrne, known locally as Kevin Forrester, was discovered at an address in Alison Street, Kirkcaldy, on February 5.

In a statement issued through Police Scotland, the 45-year-old’s family said: “Kevin was a loving son, father and brother. He loved life and was kind, caring and a loveable rogue.

“His loss in such tragic circumstances has been a shock to us all but we hold in our hearts the happy memories we have.

“We would like to thank everyone who has come forward to the police with information and also encourage anyone else with information to contact police.

“As a family, we would appreciate if we could now be left alone to grieve.”

Leslie Fraser appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Friday February 22 charged with assault and murder.

The 30-year-old, of no fixed abode, made no plea and was due to appear again within eight days.
