Princess Beatrice wants Chrissy Teigen to be her godmother

Princess Beatrice may be getting a sixth godparent.

In a viral Twitter exchange on Thursday, the British royal got into an unexpected back-and-forth with Chrissy Teigen after she complimented her name.

"'Bea is such an adorable name," Teigen tweeted. "Someone name their kid Bea please. I am not ready for another daughter and John says no more dogs. I will be their god parent."

Though the Princess of York usually only uses her Twitter account to post about her various royal outings and charity endeavours, she made a rare exception to reply to Teigen's seemingly random comment.

"I would adore to be your god daughter," she replied.

Naturally, the model completely freaked out when she saw Beatrice's response.

"Oh my god oh my god oh my god," she tweeted back.

Teigen likely won't actually become one of Beatrice's godparents, especially considering the fact that she already has five: Viscount Linley, the Duchess of Roxburghe, Peter Palumbo, Gabrielle Greenall and Carolyn Cotterell. Though she probably won't get the honorary title, the cookbook author could snag an invite to Beatrice's potential wedding.

BACK TO SLIDE

Beatrice has been making headlines over the past several months because of an exciting development in her love life. The royal has been dating Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi since about last summer and, judging by a series of joint outings in the fall, the couple appears to be moving fairly quickly.

Their romance is so promising, in fact, that insiders think that an engagement could be on the horizon.

"They've been on holiday together and Beatrice introduced him to Fergie and her dad," a source told The Sun. "Things are moving very quickly and it wouldn't surprise anyone if they got engaged within a short period of time."

"They could even be tying the knot in 2019," the source continued. "It's already been discussed by her friends."
