Police issue CCTV images of man wanted over armed robbery

Police investigating an armed robbery at a dental practice have released images of a man they want to trace.

A man armed with a weapon stole items from treatment rooms during the robbery at premises in Ratcliffe Terrace, Edinburgh, on February 8.

Staff were left shaken by the incident, which happened at around 1pm, but no-one was injured.

Police have now issued CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to help their investigation and have urged anyone who recognises him to contact them.

He is described as being around 6ft, aged in his 30s, of very slim build, and is believed to have an Eastern European accent.

He was wearing a black balaclava with a red logo on the forehead, glasses, a tight grey top, dark-coloured trousers, red trainers and gloves.

Detective Constable Stephen Herd said: “This incident has left staff at the premises understandably shaken and our inquiries remain ongoing.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who can help identify the man pictured, and anyone who can help us trace him is asked to come forward.

“Similarly, if you have any other information relevant to this investigation then please get in touch.”
