British Airways jet aborts landing due to ferocious winds

Remarkable footage shows a British Airways plane aborting a landing at Heathrow as Storm Erik wreaked havoc across parts of the country on Friday.

Winds gusting at over 80mph saw a number of passenger jets struggle to land at UK airports, with one BA flight forced to climb back into the sky as it attempted to hit the tarmac.

Big Jet TV captured the dramatic moment the BA jet failed to land.
