Nearly one in five road users threatened with physical violence
Nearly one in five road users are threatend with physical violence on Britain's roads each year.
A survey of 3,000 UK road users found that 18% said they had faced such threats.
Half (53%) of road users, including motorists, cyclists, pedestrians, runners and wheelchair users had been, or felt intimidated while on the roads.
The survey found 11% were involved in a physical altercation, while 47% had been sworn at or insulted.
Auto Trader commissioned the poll and has launched #SwearToChange, a campaign urging people to change the way they treat fellow road users.
