White House attributes Trump's tan to 'good genes'

Updated

There have been many questions and rumours about the president's orange-tan complexion and now the White House has come up with a baffling and unusual explanation.

While there have been claims that the president uses a tanning bed, which would account for the pale white rings around his eyes, officials are adamant that there isn't one anywhere in the White House.

Trump himself has previously stated that he doesn't use sun beds or spray tan. and Trump's unusual hue has since become something of a small state secret.

And the reason for his sun-kissed glow? Well according to the official line, it's all down to the president's 'good genes' and a touch of 'translucent powder'.

Dr Tina Alster, a top dermatologist, told the New York Times that he was most likely using tanning creams or sprays to achieve his look. She went on to say that it's likely that he applies them himself - which would account for the colour and tone variation.
