Sinkhole turns out to be mystery tunnel near bank in Florida

The FBI and police in Miami, Florida are investigating after a reported sinkhole turned out to be a narrow tunnel.

The tunnel leads from nearby woodland, under a road and towards a Chase Bank branch.

Investigators found a small electric generator and electric cables at the entrance of the 45-metre tunnel.

There has been no robbery at the bank and it's unknown how long the underground structure has been there.

FBI spokesman Mike Leverock said no bodies have been found and no arrests made at this stage.
