Driver arrested after Audi flips in city street and smashes into police box

An alleged drink-driver flipped their Audi and took out a police box in central London.

Images from the scene on the A40 Holborn Viaduct show a white car on its roof near the Tesco Express and debris littered along the carriageway.

The incident took place at around 3am on Sunday.

City of London Police said: “Driver has taken out street furniture and miraculously not injured himself or anyone else. Arrested for drink-drive.”
