Police bid to trace women who helped assault victim

Police are trying to trace two women who helped the victim of an assault in Dundee.

A woman was attacked near the pedestrian footbridge over Kingsway East on Wednesday evening.

Two women stopped their car and helped the victim by dropping her at a safe location.

Officers said they are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident near Old Craigie Road, and the two women who stopped in particular.

It is understood the victim knew her attacker and police are following a positive line of inquiry.
