Nasa responds after William Shatner spots a weird blue glow in Mars image

After Nasa released its latest animation from its Mars InSight Lander, C-Net reports William Shatner, Captain Kirk from Star Trek, had a pressing question about a strange glow seen in the visual,

Earlier Nasa tweeted from the InSight account: "My seismometer has now crouched down to its lowest level, for a better connection with #Mars. Faint signals are easier to hear if you keep your ear close to the ground."

Reacting to it, Shatner inquired: "What is the shiny bluish light to the right?"

Nasa was quick to respond before the alien theory sprouted: "Just a bit of lens flare as the sun dips low on the horizon. Both photos were taken shortly before sunset. No cause for alarm, Captain!"
