Laughing driver deliberately knocks over cyclist

This is the horrifying moment a callous motorist deliberately drives into a cyclist, knocking him to he ground.

The shocking footage was apparently filmed by a passenger from inside the car and shows the rider getting up from the tarmac to shout at his assailants in Epsom, Surrey.

Surrey Police have said the clip has only recently been brought to its attention and they believe the incident may have taken place at some point last year. They are now appealing to the public for more information.

In a Facebook post the the force asks for any details about the victim, driver and passenger(s) involved.

"We are appealing for the public's help in tracing the people involved in a video where a cyclist was hit by a car in Epsom. The video came to our attention only recently but we believe the incident took place at some point during 2018 at the corner of Somerset Close and Hollymore lane on the Longmead Estate in Epsom.

"In the video a car deliberately knocks over a man on his bike before driving away. The incident was filmed by a passengers in the front seat. We did not receive any reports at the time.

"Since we were made aware of the video we have been carrying out enquiries to trace the victim, driver and the passenger and now we are asking for the public's help in identifying them."
