Dramatic video shows tsunami crashing into pop concert

This is the terrifying moment a huge wave crashed into a concert in Indonesia, with the performers and audience unaware of what was happening.

The footage shows pop band Seventeen performing in a marquee at a beach resort on the western tip of the Indonesian island of Java.

Dozens of people can be seen watching the band as the wave smashes into the back of the tent, engulfing the stage and sweeping away the performers and members of the audience.

The bass player of the band is dead and at least one other member is missing according to reports.

The deadly tsunami is thought to have been triggered by the eruption of the volcano Anak Krakatau, the active cone that arose after the infamous and devastating Krakatoa eruption of 1883.

At least 222 people have been confirmed dead as a result of the tsunami that crashed into beaches on the Sunda Strait on Saturday night.

Hundreds of people remain missing and it is feared the death toll will continue to rise.
