Thug punches women cops in shocking attack

Police have released shocking footage showing the moment two female officers were repeatedly punched by a thug during a terrifying street attack.

The raging yob was captured on body worn cameras launching the vicious assault - pushing one WPC into a bush and yanking the other by the hair.

The two officers had been attending a call for a concern for safety in North Hykeham, Lincs, when they were violently attacked by the man on December 10.

One of the cops can be seen being shoved into a bush before the other is dragged to the ground and punched several times in the face.

Lincolnshire Police said the man in the video was charged with assault on an emergency worker and given a 12-month community order and ordered to pay £100 compensation.
