BA screens festive flicks to help passengers ‘feel Christmassy’

British Airways has added up to 40 festive films, TV episodes and carols to its inflight entertainment system to help passengers “feel particularly Christmassy”.

The Festive Cheer category features movies such as The Holiday, Elf, Scrooged and Home Alone 2: Lost In New York.

Customers can relive television classics like The Vicar Of Dibley Christmas Special or hone their December 25 lunch preparations with Nigella: At My Table Christmas Special 2017.

Those who prefer to listen to festive music when flying at 38,000 feet can enjoy carols from the Choir of King’s College Cambridge.

BA’s director of brand and customer experience Carolina Martinoli said: “The festive season is a special time for customers and this new channel should help them to feel particularly Christmassy on our flights.

“Alongside popular film favourites, we’ve also got hilarious comedy, interesting documentaries and rousing carols. There is something for everyone.”

The Christmas-themed entertainment will be available on the majority of BA’s long-haul aircraft.
