'Hidden recording device' found in cruise ship cabin
A Florida couple claim to have found a hidden recording device in their Carnival Cruise ship cabin.
Chris and Dana White say they were aboard the Carnival Fantasy for a three-day Caribbean cruise when they noticed the device, which they say was hidden among TV wires and pointing at their bed.
Mr White said: "I said, 'Is that what I think it is?' And she looked at it and she became concerned. And we were just really flabbergasted that there's a camera in the room and it's plugged up and it's working."
In a statement to USA TODAY, Carnival acknowledged a "video transmitter" was found during a full investigation by the shipboard team, but notes it "was not connected to an electrical source and not capable of recording".
Mr White disagreed with the finding, insisting: "It was wired up. It was working. It was warm to the touch."
Carnival said the transmitter was turned over to the FBI for further inspection.
