Woman's car flattened by out-of-control truck

Dramatic footage captured the moment a woman pulled up at a junction before her car was flattened by an out-of-control pick-up truck.

CCTV shows the white Suzuki Swift preparing to turn left at the end of the road next to a Buddhist temple in Surat Thani, Thailand, on October 9 just after 8am.

But suddenly from her right, a pick-up truck with dozens of boxes of paper loaded onto the back is seen careening towards her.

The Toyota Hilux lands on top of the smaller car and sends them both crashing into a ditch.

The two drivers were both injured and rushed to hospital for treatment.

The Tha Chang Rescue Foundation said: ''The pick-up truck skidded on the road and crashed into the other car.

"Both cars were being driven by females. They were both seriously injured and taken to hospital for treatment.''

Thai news site Manager later reported that the driver and female passenger in the Suzuki were recovering in Tha Chang Hospital where they were conscious. However, the fate of the pick-up driver was not mentioned in their report.
