See snake catcher bitten by cobra

Catching snakes isn't exactky a dream job for most of us, but it's a key role in many communities in places like India – where the creatures can become a pest if they're not dealt with.

With bravery and skill the snake catchers usually go about their work trouble-free, but sometimes things go wrong quickly. As in the video above.

Not only is the snake-catcher filmed getting bitten by the cobra he was trying to capture, but the cameraperson follows him to hospital and we get to see his hugely swollen hand and forearm.

All's well that ends well though, as the snake is shown being ushered into a bag at the end of the clip.
