Police officers suffer knife wounds after north London ‘fight’

Two men have been arrested after three police officers received knife wounds in north London.

Officers were called to Liverpool Road, Islington, at around 10.45pm on Saturday to reports of fighting and were “met with hostility”, the Metropolitan Police said.

None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening, Scotland Yard added.

One of the detained men was taken to a north London police station while the other was taken to a hospital for treatment.
