Steven Seagal storms out of Newsnight interview
Actor Steven Seagal stormed off BBC's Newsnight on Thursday night after an awkward exchange with presenter Kirsty Wark.
The Hollywood star exited when he was asked about an allegation made against him of sexual assault.
Kirsty Wark asked: "You've been very much caught up in all the allegations of sexual harassment, you had a rape allegation against you and I wonder how you deal with all that?"
Seagal responded by ripping out his earpiece and walked out of the interview.
The interview had already been tense, with comments on social media referring to Seagal's "frostiness".
Wark had asked about which of his citizenships he valued more - Russian or American.
"That's a moot point," Seagal said after looking off-camera and shaking his head.
The presenter concluded the interview: "Seagal there, and of course though he didn't respond there, he has said previously that he denies any allegation made against him."
Lisa Guerrero, a woman who has made allegations against the actor, tweeted about the performance on the BBC.
This is SO GREAT! As one of the dozen women who have shared our #MeToo stories about @sseagalofficial , Thank you @BBCNewsnight@BBC and @KirstyWark for asking him about it. Very telling that he that he ran away... #TimesUphttps://t.co/FpndZTXt99
