'Ancient comics' uncovered by archeologists

Archeologists in Jordan have discovered a treasure trove of ancient "comics" painted on the walls of a tomb dating back approximately 2,000 years.

Showing humans and gods engaged in various scenes, some of the images are accompanied by word bubble-like text to explain what is going on – making them perhaps the oldest ancestor of The Beano and Batman.

It was noted that at least some of the images appear to depict the building of an ancient city where the tomb is located.
