Isaac Newton predicted the world would end in 2060

While Sir Isaac Newton is known for establishing the laws of gravity, a new book paints Newton as a bit of a mad scientist too, including his prediction that the world would end in 2060.

As well as trying to crate gold via the pseudo-science of alchemy Newton adopted the pseudonym Jehovah Sanctus Unus AKA 'holy god' and predicted Armageddon.

He based his prediction on in-depth biblical studies and heavily criticised others who were predicting a more imminent demise for the human race.
