Yazidi sex slave ran into abuser while seeking asylum in Germany

A Yazidi girl who escaped to Germany after being sold by her IS captors to a man who used her as a sex slave has told of her horror at bumping into him in the street in Stuttgart.

Ashwak was just 14 when she was kidnapped four years ago. After three months of being abused by the man who paid $100 (£78) for her, she fled to Germany where she sought asylum.

She was shocked when the man later approached her in the street and told her he knew where she was staying.

Although Ashwak reported him to the police, she didn't feel safe and has now returned to Iraq, where she lives with her mother in a refugee camp.

Authorities in Germany say they are investigating.
