Peppa Pig helper allegedly assaulted after children's show

A woman escorting Peppa Pig characters from a children's show was allegedly attacked by a man with a fire door.

The incident happened after a young child was accidentally knocked to the ground by the George Pig character at Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire.

Police said a man allegedly reacted by repeatedly shoving a fire door into the woman and blocking her path.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses who were at the farm on Sunday afternoon.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault at Folly Farm, which occurred at around 12 noon on Sunday, August 5.

"A woman has reported that while she was leading Peppa Pig characters into the indoor picnic area following a show, a young child bumped into the person dressed as George Pig and fell over.

"The victim says a man reacted to this by pushing a fire door into her, preventing her from entering the building.

"He is reported to have pushed the door onto her several times. No injuries were sustained during the incident."
