Boy, 14, charged with murder after stabbing in Chelsea leaves 41-year-old dead
A 14-year-old boy has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death on the streets of Chelsea last month.
The teenager – who cannot be named because of his age – was arrested on Tuesday over the death of Mark Fontaine, 41, who was fatally stabbed on the evening of May 31.
Police and paramedics were called at around 10.20pm following reports of a stabbing on Cathcart Road.
Mr Fontaine, of Walthamstow, died at the scene just after 11pm.
A post-mortem gave the cause of death as multiple stab wounds.
The defendant appeared at Highbury Magistrates Court on Tuesday and remains in custody at a north London police station.

A 17-year-old boy who was arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder remains in custody at a north London police station.
Detectives from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating and have urged anyone with any information to contact them on 020 8358 0200, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
