What the papers say - May 19

As the world's attention turns to Windsor, the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leads most of Britain's papers.

Planning and preparation for the nuptials has provided headlines for months and a variety of angles are taken on the big day.

However there is one moment most feature on their front pages - when Meghan stepped out with her mother Doria Ragland on Friday.

"Welcome to the family" reads the front page of The Times, which says Meghan and the Prince of Wales, who will walk her down the aisle, have developed a "close bond".

The Daily Mail says it will be a "magically modern" royal wedding, as Meghan will walk part of the way herself.

"Happy as Harry" says the Daily Mirror's front page, which is covered with an image of his soon-to-be bride and mother-in-law as they arrived at their pre-wedding base, Cliveden House in Berkshire, along with an inset photo of the beaming prince.

The Daily Telegraph features a line from the gospel song This Little Light Of Mine - Etta James' version will play during the procession of the bride and groom.

"I'm getting Harryed in the morning" says The Sun's headline, with images of the prince giving a thumbs-up and a smiling Meghan.

The Daily Express carries a quote from Princess Diana beneath the headline "God bless!"

And the i says the royal wedding, along with sunshine and the World Cup will help bring a £1 billion boost to Britain's economy.

While Harry and Meghan appear on nearly all the papers, some lead with the other big stories of the day.

The Guardian reports on the findings of Government-funded research that raises fresh about concerns about rising rates of teenage mental illness.

A spike in the amount of money flowing out of "final salary" pension schemes has caused alarm at the financial watchdog that savers are being given bad advice, the Financial Times says.

Reference to the wedding is limited on The Independent's online front page, which leads with accusations of hypocrisy over Prime Minister Theresa May's appointment of new lords.
